ROUTE 1.6 30-SPEED

On the «Route 1.6», Wheeler has decided to go for a lightweight, top-of-the-line aluminum frame with meticulously sanded welds to please the eye.

Combined with a carbon fork, this results in a lightweight and precise chassis. Regarding the bike's specification, the «Route 1.6» is almost on par with Wheeler's top.of-the-range model: Again, Shimano's «Ultegra»-groupset is doing its duty reliably, including the optically striking wheelset including a triple crankset. Thus you can rely on the bike's moving parts for multiple seasons, and thanks to its triple crankset, even steep mountain passes are an option, allowing you to remain in the saddle when others are already complaining about sore knees and aching backs from long out-of-the-saddle efforts. A selection of fine FSA-parts like the ergonomic handlebar, the stem and the seatpost round off the image as well as the Selle Italia saddle and Hutchinson's road tires that match the frame's design perfectly.

FITNESS WITHOUT SUFFERING: THESE GEL PADS ARE FITTED BETWEEN THE HANDLEBAR AND THE TAPE, ADDING TO THE BIKE'S COMFORT SIGNIFICANTLY.

MANY OF ITS CHARACTERITIC FEATURES SEEM TO PREDETERMINE CARBON FIBRE AS THE MATERIAL OF CHOICE FOR BUILDING BICYCLES: FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO ABSORB VIBRATION SHOWS IN THE FORK LEGS.
