On the «Operator 5.6», Wheeler presents an innovative drivetrain concept in order to ensure a simple and effortless operation.
An elegant, lightweight aluminum frame and a Suntour-fork with lock-out function form the bikes backbone. But the real highlight is the drivetrain that combines the advantages of an 8-gear internal transmission with a double-chainring crankset. Thus you can shift eight gears even while standing and still have a wide choice of gears at hand. Both the hub's «Alfine»-shifter and the «TapFire»-shifter controlling the front derailleur shine with excellent ergonomics and low operation forces. The wheelset already includes Shimano's hub dynamo up front, so Busch&Müller's sensor-controlled lights have a reliable source of electricity. Thanks to a comfortable saddle, the rizerbar and ergonomic grips you'll feel as if you float over the streets. The rest of the «Operator 5.6»'s specification also meets elevated standards, as SKS's fenders, Pletscher's carrier and Schwalbe's high-quality, puncture-resistant tires show.
